Achillea 'Moonshine' lightens up the garden in late spring and into the summer

Achillea 'Martina'. The flat flower heads contrast nicely with the rounded flowers of Alliums or Echinops.

Allium coeruleum, the bluest ornamental onion.

Allium 'Gladiator' forms perfect spheres.

Astilbe x arendsii 'Deutschland' is shade tolerant but dislikes dry soil

Lilium (Asiatic Hybrid). Lilies provide bold patches of solid color. 

Coralbells (Heuchera sanguinea) are beautiful in larger numbers and exellent as cut flowers.

Lilium 'Madelaine' with Spirea 'Anthony Waterer' - contrasts of defined and feathery shapes

Hemerocallis 'Catherine Woodbury' is an elegant classic

Hemerocallis 'Green Flutter' cools down and combines easily with many other colors. 

Papaver orientale 'Brilliant' in front of blue Iris siberica. Blue and Red are a great combination!

Nepeta subsessilis flowers for a long time.

Iris tectorum, the Japanese roof Iris

The foliage of Iris tectorum is fan shaped and semi-evergreen.

Rudbeckia fulgida s.'Goldsturm' is robust and has a long blooming season.

Heliopsis helianthoides 'Summer Sun' is here combined with Agastache foeniculum.
