Shaping the Earth:

Landscape and Garden Design

Green Art offers design and consulting services for residential properties, residential developments, community and commercial projects.

Our emphasis lies in the structural design, where the essential forms and functions of a landscape situation are defined. This includes layout of infrastructure, hardscaping and plants.

We always seek a balance between style and function. None of them can dominate the other!

Our typical materials are natural stone and other natural materials, as well as historic materials such as brick and architectural elements. We keep the use of concrete and synthetic materials at a minimum. After all, gardening is supposed to bring us closer to nature!

In our planting designs we aim at a stylistic integration into the surroundings. Normally, this aesthetic goal also helps the technical side of it, which is to adapt our plant choice to the conditions of the site as much as possible in order to achieve sustainability and reduced maintenance.

But above all, we strive to enhance the spirit of the location and if there is none, we try to bring one to live!

The design work and consulting is done by Thomas Berger, owner of Green Art. Our design service developed out of our landscape construction business, where we have gathered building experience for many years. This hands-on background is especially important in finding the best solutions for technical aspects of a landscape plan. It is the reason why our designs are well grounded, and problems are avoided later, during the construction phase of the project.
