This mural is painted in a curved stairway, which causes some distortion on the photographs. The medium is acrylic, a very durable and even washable paint.
The painted columns connect stylistically to columns actually used in the house. The color of the stone wall matches the color of the connecting living room.
Since the painting goes up the stairway and follows its curve, it is not possible to see the entire painting on one single photo.
The scene was designed in a way that it would be visible from the connected living room as well as from the upstairs and from the stairs themselves without strong distortions of the perspective impressions. For the some reasons, the columns were painted as round columns - avoiding to see the left side of a column when coming from the right, etc.
